About Andaman Islands
The Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal. Both tours begin at Port Blair, where the Cellular Jail — a National Memorial since India's independence — tells the story of the freedom fighters held in its solitary cells, brought alive in the evening Light and Sound Show. Corbyn's Cove, three kilometres from town, is the city beach. From there a cruise crosses to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) for Radhanagar Beach, rated the seventh most beautiful island beach in the world, and the black rocks and silver sand of Kalapathar. Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island) follows, with the shallow, snorkel-clear water at Bharatpur and Laxmanpur and the natural coral arch known as the Howrah Bridge. The longer tour adds a Port Blair night and a day on the water at North Bay and Ross Island, and takes in Elephanta Beach on Havelock. Inter-island cruise tickets are included; airfare is not.
